Washington County Justice Center
The Washington County Justice Center has its own laundry facility operated by inmates 7 days a week, a recreation area, law library, and large visitation area. The phone system is operated by SECURUS Technologies.
Canteen Food Services manages the facility’s kitchen (serving a 3,000 calorie minimum a day, per person, with a four-week rotating menu). The modern, state-of-the-art kitchen is fully staffed. Canteen provides inmates commissary weekly. Families of the inmates have the ability to deposit monies on commissary accounts online at www.mycarepack.com.
The Justice Center contracts with Correctional Healthcare Management to provide medical care to the inmates. The medical station at the jail is fully staffed by CHM and has two cells for inmates needing care, as well as a TeleMed Room.
Internet Video visiting is available for probation, parole, or investigation purposes within the secured facility. Thirty-five security cameras are always running, monitored by Control.
Programs available to inmates are Right Start / Right Step (a 12-step recovery program for drug and alcohol abuse, accepted by the Department of Corrections). Bible Study is available at the facility or by correspondence course. An Inmate Program which gives the inmates availability to receive earned time is also offered.
The charge for county inmates is $48 per inmate, per day. Medical services and prescriptions are to be paid by the contract agency upon approval. Transportation may be arranged by agency representatives from both organizations.
We have a fully staffed Transport Team utilizing three full-size transport vans, two mini vans and a 34-passenger transport bus.
